Good Afternoon Patriots and welcome to another edition of TJ Family News,

We would love to thank all of the parents that signed up and came in for a mid-year conference last week to see where your Patriot is on their Path to Success.  Looking at the week ahead, we have our "TJ's Got Talent" show on Thursday at 6:00.  Doors for will open at 5:30 and its sure to be an event you don't want to miss.  Mrs. Simpson wanted to remind everyone that the American Heart Association fundraiser ends on Friday, January 31. Our goal is $10,000 and we are 1/2 way there! Thank you Patriots for your support of the American Heart Association.  We have two special announcements for 5th grade families this week: First, Black History Month Trivia Contest Study Guides will be coming home on Tuesday to get our Patriots ready to compete in the Black History Month Trivia Contest sponsored by former Louisa student and current NFL Player, Kerry Wynn.  Also coming home for 5th graders this week are Aquatic Safety field trip permission forms. The permission forms are due back to students homeroom teachers by February 6.  Looking further ahead, interim report cards will be coming home next week on Friday, February 7th.

We end this week with an announcement from our Title 1 team:
Have you ever wanted to go to outer space and visit all the planets in our solar system? Then join us on Thursday, March 19th from 5-7 pm for “Family Innovation Night”. This annual event includes a pizza dinner and will be held at Louisa County High School. Come to our planetarium and learn how to identify every planet in our solar system in dramatic "flights" towards each world. We can’t wait to see you there as we explore the possibilities.

We hope everyone has had a great Sunday and can't wait to see everyone tomorrow morning and as always, together, #WeAreTJES.

With Love,

Mrs. Byers, Mr. Cleaver, and Mrs. Snyder
