Good Evening TJ Family!

We hope everyone has enjoyed this beautiful Sunday. We had a wonderful week with Our Mix it up Lunch Day, Our 5th graders learning about the importance of recycling, crazy hat day, inducting Our third class into the TJ National Elementary Honor Society, and Our first movie night of the school year. We want to thank everyone for donating to the JT Barber ES fund this past week. Thanks to Our Patriot’s efforts and support we’ve raised over $800 to help with the Gators’ rebuilding efforts. There is still time to donate including gently worn coats, hats, gloves, or socks. We’ll see who gets pied at this Wednesday’s whole school meeting following Our second annual Vocabulary Day Parade! #Kindness to the Carolinas

We have adopted JT Barber Elementary in New Bern, NC and are raising funds to assist with their recovery from Hurricane Florence.

JT Barber ES is a Title 1 school similar to Thomas Jefferson ES. The school has suffered a significant amount of water damage.

We will who gets a pie in their face; Mr. Epps, Mr. Cleaver, and Dr. C. have volunteered and there has been lots of talk amongst staff and students as to who their choice is.

There is still time to donate including gently worn coats, hats, gloves, or socks. Be sure to drop donations off at any of Our LCHS schools by November 2nd.

All donations will be sent to JT Barber Elementary.
Looking ahead:

November 5th & 6th No School for students

November 8th will be the 60th day of school. We will celebrate with a “Decades Day” where we can dress from any decade [50’s, 60’s, 80’s, etc.]

We seeking coaches and participants for Our Odyssey of the Minds teams. Please see Mrs. Seay if you are interested in coaching or your Patriot is interested in participating this year.

Don’t forget to order your TJ Swag from Our Online Store [https://tjespatriots18.itemorder.com/sale].

The store is open through November 11th.

If you do not have internet access you can stop by the front office and fill out a paper order form and pay by check only.
Thank you for your attention and support and we look forward to seeing everyone bright and early!

We Believe, One Team, One Dream!
