Grandparents Day
Everyone will enter through door #2 (in front of the TJ Cafe).
Be sure to have your ID ready. You MUST have your ID, there will be no exceptions.
We will meet together in the gym beginning at 8:30 AM. Grandparents will then be dismissed to go to their student’s class.
National Elementary Honor Society Students will be stationed throughout the halls to help with directions.
We will have a professional photographer taking pictures of students and their Grandparent for $10. The photographer only accepts cash or check.
The TJ bookfair will be open in the gym for all Grandparents and students.
Grandparents will eat lunch with their child in the TJ Cafe. Please enter through the door to the right of the TJ Cafe as classes will enter through the left. This will ensure we stick to Our lunch schedule.
If you have signed the RSVP slip and opted to have your child leave early with their Grandparent, they will be signed out in the classroom. If you have not let TJ know then the Grandparent will need to go to the office and parents will be called to verify if the Grandparent is on the student’s leave early form filled out at the beginning of the school year.

Looking ahead:
We have posted a list of supplies needed for school projects via the Innovations Lab and Makerspace. Feel free to send in any donations or drop them off in Our front lobby.
If you have a Patriot you would like to recommend for TAG testing please let Mrs. Seay know ASAP.
Monday, October 15th and Tuesday October 16th will be Teacher Workday/Staff Development Days. There will be no school for students.
Report cards will come home on Friday, October 19th.
Your child’s teacher will be contacting you to schedule a parent-teacher conference. We strongly encourage every parent to schedule this meeting to review beginning of the year testing info about your Patriot and how we can partner to ensure they are successful!

Finding Grade Level Websites via the Thomas Jefferson ES website
There are 3 ways to get to staff websites.
Hover over "news", hover over "what's new", and go to the news story called "Team Webpages" on 8/28/18
(Only the 4 latest news stories show on the front page.
You can click on the word "staff" in the navigation at the top of the page and search for the staff member you are looking for.
You can also hover over "staff" and click on "staff directory."
When you find the staff members name in the directory you need to click on the "world" icon to access the webpage.

Thank you for your attention and support and we look forward to seeing everyone bright and early!
