TJES Family News

Good Afternoon Patriots and welcome to this week's edition of TJ Family News.

Looking at the past week, our Patriots continued to show off their skills at our TJ's Got Talent tryouts, kicked off our Kid's Heart Challenge, explored why its important to never give up and how when we work together anything is possible with our TJ Leadership Team, and our 5th graders reaffirmed their commitment to Kindness with an assembly completely planned and delivered by a group of 5th grade students themselves.

We start this week off with a TJ Tuesday, so be sure to help your Patriot find their blue "Forge your own Path" t-shirt.  Throughout the week we have parent-teacher conferences after school, on Wednesday we have a group of students from grades 3-5, heading to the LCPS Spelling Bee, and on Friday we end the week with our First Semester Attendance Dance.  In addition to this dance, we are excited to announce that our spring attendance incentive involves free NASCAR tickets to a Richmond race for those students that meet the attendance criteria.  Next week, we close the month of January and have our TJ's Got Talent show at 6:00 pm on Thursday, January 30th.  In addition to these events, we did want to let you know that our Lost and Found coat rack is getting quite full.  If you are missing an item, please encourage your Patriot to check the lost and found to see if it might have been found.

We end this week with a message from our Title 1 team:
Have you ever wanted to see a Monster Truck up close and personal? Then join us on Thursday, March 19th from 5-7 pm for “Family Innovation Night”. This annual event includes a pizza dinner and will be held at Louisa County High School. Come see how big a Monster Truck really is! We can’t wait to see you there as we explore the possibilities.

As a final reminder, school is not in session, tomorrow, January 20th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.  We hope you are enjoying the three-day weekend and we look forward to seeing everyone bright and early Tuesday morning.  And as always, together, #WeAreTJES.

With Love,

Mrs. Byers, Mr. Cleaver, & Mrs. Snyder
