Hello Patriots!

I hope everyone stayed safe during the storms Thursday night that caused Friday's cancellation. Looking at the week ahead we will have a division holiday on Monday in observance of Labor Day, our first Buddy Class Hour on Wednesday, and our Kindergarten students will complete their baseline Reading assessment on Thursday. The following week brings our first Club Day on Wednesday 9/11 and a TeamLCPS Green & Gold day on Friday 9/13.

Upcoming Asynchronous Learning Day - 9/18

Get ready to celebrate! Mark your calendars for Wednesday, September 18th, from 9 AM to 10 AM! We're gearing up to honor the signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787, and we've planned something special.

Join us as we dive into the fascinating world of local government and discover why it's so important! Check out the LCPS Constitution Day family letter that was sent home this week for all the details, or call us if you have any questions.

Got childcare on your mind? No worries! We have you covered with all-day childcare from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM at every school. Now, your little ones can enjoy all the fun while you take care of business!

We can't wait to see you there for this exciting celebration of freedom!

Key Reminders:

  • Please call our office before 12:30 with any afternoon transportation changes for your Patriot. This ensures that this information is properly directed to all impacted parties and ensure that your Patriot has a smooth afternoon dismissal.
  • Morning Parent Drop-off is open from 7:45-8:10. We ask that parents dropping students off in the morning, please remain in your vehicle and our staff will unbuckle your Patriot and get them out of the car.
  • After 8:10 students are considered tardy and will need to be walked in through the Main Entrance to be signed in
  • Afternoon Parent Pick-up is normally open from 3:05-3:25. We ask that families not arrive to line-up before 2:00 to avoid traffic backing up into the highway. We again ask that families remain in their car and our staff will load Patriots into your vehicle. If you need to assist your Patriot with buckling, please pull over into the angled parking spots to the right.
  • No outside food(cupcakes, cookies, etc...) can be brought to share with other students for the first few weeks while we confirm student allergy information. All outside food will then need to be store bought and list ingredients to be checked by the nurse for allergy concerns.
  • We will start inviting families in for lunch after the Labor Day holiday to give our Patriots time to learn the lunch routines. Please call the main office to make reservations for lunch with your Patriot after this date.
