It's hard to believe but the last week of the school year is here. We will have PreK promotion on Tuesday at 9:00 am, Kindergarten promotion on Wednesday at 9:00 am, and 5th Grade promotion on Wednesday at 1:00 pm. Doors will open 15 minutes before each promotion ceremony. We will then have our last day of this school year on Thursday, with an 11:00 am dismissal.
From all of our TJ staff, I want to say thank you, to you our families, for another amazing school year. Your endless support of our Patriots along with your desire to create a strong relationship with our team has lead to some very impressive growth in each of our Patriots this year. I know I say it every week but I truly believe that it is, "Only Together, We Are TJES!"
As we finish up this year, monitoring your Patriot's attendance is more important than ever. Now is a time where students are celebrating their success for this year and creating some of those lifelong school memories. Please remember that students in Virginia are designated as chronically absent if they miss 10% of the days in a school year which is 17 or more days and includes both excused and unexcused dates. These include each day of the school year, even the final day of school. This designation can lead to future issues such as retention, class scheduling, and learning problems so be sure to be mindful as we approach our final school days of the year to continue good attendance habits to finish the year strong and to avoid this designation. Not sure how many absences your Patriot has? Feel free to reach out to our main office and someone would be happy to help.
Let's have a great last week!
