Looking at the week ahead, we will VALLS literacy testing for 1st grade, our celebration of Constitution Day on Wednesday, and our Fall Book Fair kicks off on Friday.
Next week brings VKRP numeracy assessments for Kindergarten and of course MVP Day on Friday, September 26th. If you have not done so already, please be sure to return your MVP RSVP to your homeroom teacher so we can be ready to welcome your Patriot's MVP on this day.
Three last reminders:
- Our Patriots are getting better at the lunch routine each day and are now ready for visitors. A few guidelines to allow lunch visitors to be a fun experience for all of our Patriots:
-We ask that you call before arriving to confirm lunch times and to reserve space for your Patriot and their guest. We have room for approximately 5 Patriots and their guest per lunch shift.
-We ask that each Patriot be limited to no more than two guests per visit. This is to make sure that their is room for other families that are visiting on that same day.
-All guests must have a valid legal ID and be a parent or guardian, on the pick-up card, or an emergency contact to have lunch with a Patriot.
-Other students are not permitted to sit at the visitors table during a lunch visit. This is a safety and logistics guideline to ensure that all of Patriots remain under the supervision of either school staff or be with someone who has verified permission.
- Now that we have gotten accurate allergy information for each class, we can start accepting outside food for class such as cupcakes or cookies. We do ask a few things if you would like to do this:
-Give teachers and the nurse at least a 48 hour notice so they have time to review allergy information for the class. This can be done with a phone call, email, or Class Dojo message.
-Provide enough treats for the whole class.
- If you haven't done so already, please complete your online PowerSchool registration. This registration includes your Patriot's technology contract, device insurance election and code of conduct. Without these forms, your Patriot will not be able to access their iPad or Chromebook.
