Looking at the week ahead, we will have our Stand Up to Cancer Fundraiser Spirit Week, Fall Picture Day on Tuesday, and the Hometown Homecoming Parade in Mineral on Thursday evening. Next week will bring VDOE Fall Growth Testing in math and reading for grades 3 and 4, and on Friday, October 31st, we will have Character Dress Up Day.

Two important reminders for Character Dress Up Day:

1. Students cannot bring any fake or look alike weapons as part of their costume.
2. Any treats sent in for classes most be prepackaged and clearly labeled. Teachers will place treats in a bag to be sent home with students. If you have any concerns regarding allergies or treats being sent home with your student, please contact their teacher directly.

We’ve also appreciated your continued efforts and support of our monthlong initiative “Kindness: A Decade of Difference!”

For this upcoming week, we are focusing on Kindness for a Cause! Here at TJ, we will be raising money for Stand Up To Cancer.

And on Friday, we also encourage you to wear Green & Gold and to join us for our Friday Night Homecoming football game in The Jungle vs. Orange! We’ll be collecting funds during the game that will go towards our #Kindness cause!
