Looking at the week ahead, there is no school for students on Monday and Tuesday due to a Teacher Workday and a Staff Development Day. We will then have a 4th Grade Field Trip on Thursday and first Quarter report cards will come home on Friday. The next week brings Fall Picture Day on Tuesday, October 21st and the Hometown Homecoming Parade in Mineral on the evening of Thursday, October 23rd.

We are looking forward to another great week!

And don’t forget that October is Kindness Month … and we are celebrating our newest initiative “Kindness: A Decade of Difference!” here at LCPS!

As part of this initiative, we will be spending the week of October 13-17 focusing on spreading kindness throughout our school division. We’ll be issuing a Ten Acts of Kindness challenge, where students can work together to complete acts of kindness, and it’s going to be a lot of FUN! And, as always, if your student is giving an MVP effort with kindness, be sure to head to our division website to submit an MVP nomination! And …. If you turn in your Ten Acts of Kindness challenge to your teacher or front office, you have a chance to win a prize!

Once again, we are so excited to come together as a team to spread kindness!
