Looking at the week ahead, we will kickoff our 5C Project for this year, Around the World in 80 Days on Wednesday, our 5th grades will head to the YMCA for Water Safety on Wednesday or Thursday (based on Homeroom) and of course Friday is our MVP Day. As a reminder, please get those RSVPs in ASAP so we can make sure everything is ready for the big day. If you plan for your Patriot to ride to school with their MVP on Friday, they do not need to go through our drop-off line in the morning. Instead just park in front of the building and once our buses clear we will admit those Patriots through the front door while their MVPs head to the check-in station. Check-in for MVPs begins at 8:15 and the event runs until 11:00.

We ask everyone to please limit the number of lunch visitors per Patriot (1 visitor per Patriot is preferable) on a single day so that everyone has enough space to enjoy their visit. We will not be able to have lunch visitors on Friday due to our MVP Day event.

Also this week we will complete our 2nd VDOE required Lockdown drill of the year for grades 1st-5th.

Over the next two week our 1st, 2nd, & 3rd grade Patriots will participate in VALLs assessments which are new reading screening tools required by the VDOE. VALLs reports will come home with report cards in October.
