TJES Weekly CallGood Evening TJ Family,
I have a lot of information to share so here we go:

Monday is Constitution Day in LCPS! Be sure to ask your child what they did to learn about the importance of the Constitution of the United States of America!

Chorus students will meet Tuesday morning at 6:50 AM
Family Fitness Night Flyer will be in students Patriot Folders on Tuesday, September 19th. Please RSVP by Friday, September 29, 2017 as dinner will be provided.

Extended learning begins this Wednesday. If your child has been invited then you should already have that information.

Friday the 22nd is a patriot spirit day for our first whole school meeting. Be sure to show your TJ Pride by dressing in red, white, & blue and wearing your TJ swag!

Next Saturday, September 23rd, we will finish the TJ garden. If you want to help, bring your shovel and/or heavy-duty rake and come out between 8:30 AM and noon. All students must be supervised.

To all T.A.G. Parents - please join us Wednesday night at Louisa County Middle School as Dr. Morris-Miller presents the social-emotional side of gifted learners. Dr. Morris-Miller will be at LCMS from 6 - 7 PM on Wednesday, September 20th. You don't want to miss out on this opportunity to hear her speak!

If you believe your child is talented and gifted, the screening window for gifted identification is open. Please contact our Gifted Instructional Specialist, Mrs. Patty Seay, for further information.

TJES Pass It On update:
Kayden Knight is the top fundraiser for TJ Pass It On to William Velasquez Elementary by raising more than $1,600! Way to go Kayden!

Ms. Martin’s class came in second place for fundraising with $187.57.
Both classes will receive a sundae party during their recess time on Tuesday!
We are proud to share that the TJ Family raised over $3,000 for Our friends at William Velasquez Elementary! Thank you to everyone that participated. It is a great feeling to know that Thomas Jefferson Elementary has such a supportive and caring community!

I’d like to thank everyone for your support of the events we have done so far this year at TJES! WIthout your support TJ would not be so successful and inviting for Our students.

See you tomorrow!
