Hello Patriots! Here is everything you need to know for the week ahead: Labor Day Reminder: School is closed tomorrow, Monday, September 7th, in observance of Labor Day. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Tuesday morning! Hungry Hungry Hippos Attendance Challenge: On Tuesday, September 8th, we launch our Q1 attendance challenge! Classes will compete to earn marbles for their class hippo every single day they achieve a 95% attendance rate or higher. Let's work together to get those hippos fed! Schoolwide 5C Project Kickoff: On Wednesday, September 9th, we will reveal our big schoolwide 5C project theme. Students will jump right into hands-on learning that builds citizenship, collaboration, creativity, communication, and critical thinking.

Now that our students are fully settled into the daily routine of school, our team officially made the switch this past week into our normal instruction, intervention, and enrichment routines to make sure every single Patriot gets exactly what they need to thrive! Hello Patriots! We are heading into a busy, exciting week at TJES, and I have a few important updates to share with you! Safe Bus Academy: On Tuesday, August 25th, all students will participate in our annual Safe Bus Academy to practice bus safety rules and expectations. Summit Schedule: Wednesday, August 26th is our very first Summit Day of the year! Students will engage in hands-on learning focused on the 5 C’s—citizenship, collaboration, creativity, communication, and critical thinking. New this year, our Patriots will also enjoy a special buddy-class recess, pairing up older and younger students for peer mentorship!
