Greetings TJ Families!

I'm excited to start my 6th year at Thomas Jefferson and my first as Principal.  Before coming to TJ, I taught Mathematics for 12 years at Louisa County High School where I also served as an assistant football coach and in various leadership roles.  I received my B.S. in Mathematics Education from Juniata College and my M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from George Mason University.

I'm originally from a small rural town in Pennsylvania but have been a resident of Louisa County for the past 18 years and am proud to call it home.  My wife, Jessica, is a teacher in the county and my 3 kids, Cole, Ava, and Ty are LCPS students with Cole in 7th  grade, Ava in 5th grade, and Ty in 2nd grade.  When I'm not at school you may find me on a local baseball or softball field watching my kids play or coaching.

I look forward to partnering with you to provide our Patriots with a world-class education.  Please don't hesitate to contact me via phone or email ([email protected]) if I can be of assistance.

Only Together, We Are TJES!

Hello TJ Families!

I am overjoyed to have the honor of serving as your next assistant principal! This will be my first year as an administrator, but I have served my Thomas Jefferson Elementary School family for the past eight years in my roles as a first- and fifth-grade teacher, as well as in various leadership positions. I received my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with Teacher Preparation and my Master of Science in Elementary Education from Old Dominion University.

As a Louisa County native and LCPS graduate, I truly value the familial atmosphere and continued support I have received at TJ as an educator, and I look forward to working with all of you to continue guiding our Patriots along their unique paths to success. I will continue building upon the success of our school by supporting our students and staff in reaching their maximum potential and maintaining a positive, engaging, and safe school environment that supports the academic, social, and emotional needs of all. I will also work diligently with our administration, staff, students, families, and community to carry out the mission and vision of TJ and LCPS. I am committed to serving our school as we continue providing students with high-quality experiences that cater to the academic, social, and 5Cs skills they will need to be successful. Outside of serving our Patriots, I enjoy reading, writing, playing video games, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends.

I look forward to working with you as we continue “guiding our students along their unique paths to success!” Please feel free to contact me by phone or email, and I would be happy to assist with any of your needs. Only Together,

We are TJES!

Dear Patriot Families,

Introducing myself as your Administrative Intern this year brings me great joy! I became a “Patriot” in 1993 as a Thomas Jefferson Elementary School student, and I am so excited to return to TJES as an administrator. Some of you may recognize me from my days at Louisa County Middle School.

Prior to this year, I was the Administrative Intern at LCMS from 2021-2023, and before that, I taught a combination of Special Education Mathematics, math resource, self-contained functional academics, math remediation, and summer school classes for ten years at LCMS and in Henrico County. I also served as the Special Education Department Chair and Child Study Chair, in addition to various other leadership roles. I earned my B.S. in Liberal Studies (Elementary Education) with a concentration in Special Education, followed by my M.S. in Special Education from Longwood University. I later added an endorsement to my master’s degree, also at Longwood, in School Leadership and Supervision.

My love for Mineral, VA, as my hometown, has never wavered. I chose to return to Louisa County with my husband, Brent, after teaching in Henrico for three years to raise our daughters, Lily (third grade) and Charley (kindergarten). When not at school, I enjoy reading, live theater and music, photography, traveling, supporting my children and their interests, and being outside.

I am proud to serve our Patriots to my greatest capacity and consider myself a servant-leader. My love for my community is the seed that nurtures my desire to help it grow and see it flourish. As we begin a new school year, I look forward to having the opportunity to collaborate with each family in guiding your Patriots along their unique path.
